Knife and screwdriver used in armed raid on Offaly bookies

Gardai are seeking two male suspects after an armed robbery at a bookies shop in Edenderry on Saturday, February 17.

The incident took place at a bookmakers on JKL Street beside Larkins pub at around 12.30pm on Saturday afternoon. A number of punters were inside at the time. 

Two men armed with a knife and a screwdriver entered the premises and demanded cash. 

They fled with a sum of money soon after and no injuries were reported during the robbery. 

Investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made, gardai confirmed to the Offaly Express.
