Offaly TikTok sensation, 'The Digger Dad', reveals his 'Seven Deadly Sins'

Offaly native, Shane Gallagher has become a viral sensation on TikTok and Instagram, singing in his digger.

Shane, more popularly known as 'The Digger Dad', is originally from Daingean, and now lives in Brisbane, Australia with his wife and their two children.

He has almost 200,000 followers on TikTok and has become a star by performing witty sketches and singing from his digger.

Last year he turned down a huge TV show in Australia because it "might hold him back" from other opportunities.

Given his popularity and talent, Shane revealed that the producers of The Voice Australia talent show approached him to audition but after going through a number of rounds and being handed the chance to appear on the TV show itself, he turned it down.

LUST: Who or what do you find yourself lusting after today and why?

The Mrs! Lad she's an absolute minter but we've not long since had a baby so I'm treading carefully. Anyday now she'll pounce . . . she's sitting closer to me on the couch these days.

GREED: What should you be cutting down on (non-food or drink) and why?

The amount of time I spend in the guitar shop looking at my dream guitar! I'll never afford it! God it's like the first day I met the wife - "She looks unreal. Will this be expensive?! Yep!"

GLUTTONY: What one thing could you happily eat or drink until you burst, and why?

I love an Aldi jaffa cake! They are just savage with a mug of tae. Pandemic saw people stocking up on bread and toilet roll! I was wheeling boxes of jaffa cakes out of Aldi. Convinced it's the reason I made it through

SLOTH: What should you be putting your back into now and why?

Focusing more on my music. I've been slacking a bit since having Maeve and time waits for none of us

WRATH: Who or what makes you angry and why?

That eejit of a taxman! He takes from me wages, he takes when I buy nappies, I can't even pay a tax bill without being charged more tax! How do we get rid of him?!

ENVY: Who are you jealous of and why?

Anyone with millions of coins in the bank. Sure wouldn't it make life a bit easier. Taxman doesn't bother them all that much it seems.

PRIDE: What’s your proudest achievement and why?

My two kids! I just love being a Dad. Feck all the social media and numbers when it comes down to it. Having your kids smile everytime they see you is enough in life.
