Woman sent to Tullamore Circuit Court

A woman is scheduled to appear at Tullamore Circuit Court in January accused of alleged offences in Banagher.

Cassandra Carr (23), Hymany Park, Ballinasloe is alleged to have committed the offences at Main Street, Banagher in August 2024.

Ms Carr, who appeared before Judge Andrew Cody in the District Court, is charged with assaulting Katie Gallagher, causing her harm, producing a drinks glass while allegedly committing an assault, and violent disorder with two others.

Ms Carr was prosecuted by Sergeant Patrick O'Connell and a book of evidence was served by Garda Stacey O'Brien in the District Court.

Garda O'Brien said there was consent for the DPP for the woman to be sent forward to the Circuit Court sitting in Tullamore on January 13.

Judge Cody sent Ms Carr forward and granted legal aid, assigning Ashling Maloney, solicitor, and one counsel.
