Man arrested after several people involved in verbal altercation in Offaly
A man was arrested by gardai in Offaly after several people were involved in a verbal altercation in the county.
Gardaí were called to the scene of a verbal altercation between several people on a road in Macregol, Birr on Saturday morning, October 11, at 2.30am.
“A concerned local rang us about the altercation,” a Garda spokesperson said.
The spokesperson added, "when we got there we dispersed those involved. However, an intoxicated male came out of a residence, shouting and roaring at the Guards. He was arrested for threatening behaviour and intoxication in public.”
