The list of emergency accommodations will cater to homeless families and individuals

Providers of emergency accommodation are being sought by Offaly County Council

Accommodation needs to be located nearby towns and villages with good transport links

Offaly County Council is seeking expressions of interest for emergency accommodation providers in the county.

They are appealing to any hoteliers, proprietors of guest accommodations, B&B's and self-contained own-door units who wish to have their facilities or rooms included in the list of emergency accommodations for homeless families and individuals.

For any accommodations to be considered, they need to be located nearby towns and villages with good transport links. Both family and single rooms may be required to meet emergency accommodation needs as they arise.

Offaly County Council say that once an accommodation is approved for the list then they will be paid an agreed fee and clients will be nominated to them as required.

Interested providers are being asked to detail the type of accommodation, number of rooms to be included, price per night/week/month as part of their submission. They are also advised to include the availability of catering and laundry facilities on their premises.

Any partnership for emergency accommodation which is agreed between the two parties will be for a minimum of two years but can be reviewed after that period of time.

The deadline for providers to submit their expression of interest for the attention of the administrative officer is on or before Friday, October 3.
