TikTok shop to make its debut at this year's National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore

TikTok shop is set to make it's physical debut at this year's National Ploughing Championships.

The online shop, which features products sold by thousands of creators all over the world including some incredible and creative Irish brands and businesses, will set up shop over the three days in Tullamore, county Offaly, on September 16, 17, and 18.

With just one more week to go, Irish businesses will be gearing up for a digital boost at Ireland's largest agricultural event, which sees nearly 300,000 people attend each year to see everything from prize-winning animals, tractors and crafters to cooking and baking demonstrations and musical entertainment.

Managing Director of the Ploughing Championships Anna May McHugh said,

"Preparations are in full swing as this green field transforms into the bustling hub of the National Ploughing Championships. Just weeks ago, it was open countryside, now it's set to welcome hundreds of thousands.

"The Ploughing showcases the very best of Ireland, uniting rural and urban communities for three days of country living, innovation and enterprise.

"It's always a race against the clock, but the result is a one-of-a-kind celebration."

Sales in Ireland from TikTok shop have skyrocketed by triple digits in just six months, displaying the popular platform's power to drive growth for Irish businesses.

At Tigh TikTok, top Irish creators and businesses will host live sessions at the Ploughing, giving audiences a glimpse into this new and very popular cutting-edge shopping experience. TikTok users across the country will also be able to join in virtually and shop in real time as products are showcased.

Interactive activities will also be presented, showing the billion dollar companies commitment to Trust and Safety. Activities will include a digital safety quiz that will test users knowledge on how to stay secure online while also promoting healthy digital habits.

Since it's launch in Ireland in 2024, the number of sellers has more than doubled. from March 2025 to June 2025, daily live sessions have jumped almost 90%, showing how Irish brands are leveraging real-time commerce to reach new customers.
