MEET Breda Mann, from Daingean, who recently completed her 50th parkrun at Mountlucas parkrun.

When did you complete your first parkrun?

I can’t actually remember when I did my first parkrun! I started before Covid but took some breaks as I supervised study in the school where I work, every Saturday morning for a few years.

What is your favourite thing about parkrun?

My favourite thing is the camaraderie among the group. And it’s a great start to a Saturday morning.

How does it feel to have reached the significant milestone of 50 parkruns?

It feels great especially now that I’m running every parkrun. In the beginning it was more like a leisurely walk!!!

What is your favourite parkrun memory?

My favourite parkrun memory was bringing my daughter Kate on her first parkrun.
