Tullamore Show attracts tens of thousands of people each year
A TULLAMORE pub has been granted the licence to operate two bars at this year's Tullamore Show.
Bells Taverns Ltd, Tullamore, whose directors are Paul Bell and Cathy Anne Bell, Brewery Tap, applied to the local District Court for an occasional licence.
The application was made on their behalf before Judge Andrew Cody by Robert Scanlon, solicitor, who handed in the necessary proofs including the specifications for the 'semi-permanent structure' which will be used for the bars and which has been used for the last number of years.
Mr Scanlon said the licence is for a day-time event so the opening hours for the bars will be 12 noon to 6pm.

Sergeant Brendan Kearns said there was no garda objection to the application.
Judge Cody granted the application subject to alcohol only being sold and consumed in the two bars and on condition that all patrons are out by 6.30pm.
He also said that security staff must be approved by the Private Security Authority.
The Tullamore Show will take place in Blueball, Tullamore on Sunday, August 10 next.
