Driver caught without insurance in Offaly disqualified from driving for twenty years
A man who was stopped by the Gardai in Geashill was disqualified from driving for twenty years and given a prison sentence during the February 26 sitting of Tullamore District Court.
Damien McDonnell, 14 Donomore Avenue, Tallaght, Dublin 24 was stopped in Raheen, Geashill on August 6, 2024 and found to be driving without insurance.
The court was told that Mr McDonnell failed to appear in court and a bench warrant had to be issued for his arrest.
Sergeant Brendan Kearns pointed out that over the years several bench warrants had been served on the defendant.
Judge Andrew Cody also sentenced Mr McDonnell to four months imprisonment.
