Meet all of the 19 Offaly County Councillors elected in the local elections

Sinn Fein's Sean Maher was elected after a nervous recount in the Birr Electoral Area giving the party one elected representative in each area in Offaly having entered the election with no seats. A construction worker from Crinkill, he was one of three first time candidates elected in the Birr Area and one of seven across the county. Sinn Fein last held a seat in the Birr Area when now Independent TD Carol Nolan was elected for the party in 2014. He was also the second last councillor elected in the whole country
