'A true lady' - Tributes pour in following passing of beloved mother and grandmother from Offaly

Agnes O'Reilly (née Delaney) passed away on Tuesday

Tributes have poured in following the sad passing of beloved mother and grandmother Agnes O'Reilly (née Delaney), late of Rhode Bridge, Rhode, Offaly / Croghan, Offaly.

Agnes passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at Mullingar Hospital on Tuesday, April 23.

Agnes is predeceased by her parents Paddy and Kathleen, sisters Kathleen and Mary, brother Michael and brother-in-law Seamus.

She will be deeply regretted and sadly missed by her family: husband Jimmy, daughter Kathleen and her husband Volker, son Tony and his partner Shirley, grandchildren Emily and Ben, sisters Bernie, Annette and Chrissie, brothers Paddy, Ronnie and Liam, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Heartfelt condolences have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and remembered Agnes, with one mourner writing,

"My sincerest condolences to Jimmy, Tony and Shirley. Aggie was a true lady, may she rest in peace."

Another wrote,

"Sincere sympathy on the sad death of Aggie. To the Reilly family. Rhode Bridge her sister Bernie Hamill brother Ronnie and extended Reilly and Delaney families. May her gentle soul Rest in peace."

While another simply said,

"Condolences to the O'Reilly & Delaney family on the sad passing of Agnes, may she rest in peace."

Funeral Arrangements 

Agnes will repose at Larkin's Funeral Home, Edenderry this Thursday from 6pm to 8pm with Rosary at 8pm.

Her Funeral Mass will take place on Friday at 11am in St. Peter's Church, Rhode followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
