Offaly women to appear on RTE Late Late Show special this week
Some of the players from the Offaly Ladies football team from 1974 will feature on this week's RTE Late Late Show with Patrick Kielty.
Offaly Ladies Football posted on Facebook about the exciting appearance this Friday night. They said: "This Friday night, The Late Late Show are doing a GAA Special to mark 50 years of Ladies Gaelic Football.
"There will be members of our 1974 team in the audience as they played in the first ever All-Ireland Ladies Football Final against Tipperary.
"Don't forget to watch," they added.
Followers were quick to express their excitement at the news with one woman saying, "I'll be stuck to the TV."
She added: "Now they are the finest bunch of Offaly ladies ever. Very happy to say I know them all and good friends with many including my dear cousin Agnes. Lord, girls, where are all those years gone?"
The show airs on RTE One television at 9.35pm on Friday night.
