Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland for the coming week with another change on the way

Ireland is in for a mixed week of weather according to the latest weather forecast for Ireland from Met Eireann.

According to Met Eireann, it will remain largely unsettled this week with outbreaks of rain and showers for most. Temperatures will rise closer to normal.

According to the latest weather forecast for Ireland from Met Eireann, Monday will start off mainly dry in Ulster and in east and north Leinster. Rain and fresh to strong southeast winds in Munster, Connacht and south Leinster will gradually spread northwards, reaching northern areas later in the day. Munster will get the heaviest rain and strongest winds. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees.

Monday night will be a windy night, especially over the western half of the country, with scattered outbreaks of rain. Drier conditions and clear spells will slowly spread from the southwest towards morning. Light to moderate southerly winds will veer southwesterly overnight, increasing fresh to strong in Munster, Connacht and west Ulster. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +4 degrees in fresh to strong southerly winds, easing and veering westerly by morning.

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, any rain will clear to the north on Tuesday morning. Turning dry for most with sunny spells, though a few showers are possible, mainly in the south and southwest. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.

After a dry start, it will turn cloudier on Tuesday night with outbreaks of rain spreading from the west later. Becoming quite breezy also with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds developing. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees, coolest in Ulster.

According to the latest Met Eireann weather forecast for Ireland, Wednesday will be a dull day with outbreaks of rain and drizzle, most persistent over the western half of the country. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in moderate southeasterly winds.

A blustery day on Thursday with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in fresh southeast winds.

According to Met Eireann, current indications suggest that there will be further showers or longer spells of rain for Friday and the weekend.
