Rain and fresh to strong southeast winds in Munster, Connacht and south Leinster will gradually spread northwards, reaching northern areas later in the day. Munster will get the heaviest rain and strongest winds. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees.

Monday night will be a windy night, especially over the western half of the country, with scattered outbreaks of rain. Drier conditions and clear spells will slowly spread from the southwest towards morning. Light to moderate southerly winds will veer southwesterly overnight, increasing fresh to strong in Munster, Connacht and west Ulster. Lowest temperatures of -1 to +4 degrees in fresh to strong southerly winds, easing and veering westerly by morning.

Turning dry for most with sunny spells, though a few showers are possible, mainly in the south and southwest. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light to moderate southerly winds.

After a dry start, it will turn cloudier on Tuesday night with outbreaks of rain spreading from the west later. Becoming quite breezy also with moderate to fresh southeasterly winds developing. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees, coolest in Ulster.
