5 – Right half back: Killian Sampson (Shinrone)
Killian Samspon had another excellent year for Shinrone. He was very consistent and used the ball so well. He regularly popped over points and had his best display when he was man of the match in the quarter-final win over Birr. He scored four points that day as Shinrone were the better team but flirted with danger. He played both wing back and wing forward and would fit into the team equally comfortably in either position – he is selected at wing back and the only absolute is that he has to be on it somewhere.
Now in the veteran stages of his long career, Enda Grogan was seriously considered and had one of his best ever seasons. He got very fit, showed his experience and oozed composure in everything he did. Sam Bourke was also contender and picked off some great long range points for Ballinamere.
