People are being urged to bring home their rubbish from a cemetery in Offaly.

The committee at St Joseph's Cemetery in Kilcormac would like to reiterate that there is no refuse collection service for the cemetery and that people must bring home their own rubbish.

A member of the public kindly gathered this amount of rubbish photographed above from a section of the cemetery last week.

"Leaving your refuse behind makes the cemetery look unkempt and unsightly and is completely unacceptable," said a spokesperson for the committee.
