Garda probe launched after shots fired in housing estate in the Midlands
Gardai have launched an investigation after a number of shots were reportedly fired inside a Longford housing estate this afternoon.
Gardai, including members attached to the force's Armed Support Unit were called to the Dun Darrach estate shortly after 3:30pm this afternoon.
A garda spokesperson confirmed this evening that while no one was injured, the scene has been preserved pending a technical and forensic examination.
