The result of the first count in the General Election in Offaly is in.
Turnout was just 59.8% with 37,634 votes cast out of an electorate of 62,931. The valid poll was 37,385 with 249 spoiled votes. The quota to reach to get elected is 9,347 votes
The result of the first count is below and the count will continue with the distribution of Maureen Ward's votes. The Aontu candidate has been eliminated after the first count.
