Leinster Senior Club Football Semi Final

All roads lead to the Gaelic Grounds Drogheda this coming Sunday as Rhode Take on Louth Champions Sean O'Mahony's at 2pm. We massively look forward to seeing a massive crowd from Rhode and surrounding clubs in Offaly Travel to Drogheda on Sunday to get behind the lads. Bring your voices and your Colour. Rhode Abu.

Parish Cumman Na mBunscoil Shield Champions Medal Presentation

On Friday night last the boys from Rhode Parish were presented their Cumann Na mBunscoil medals by the Rhode Senior Footballers in Fr. Dowling Park. Despite in been a very cold night everyone was in great spirits and only to delighted to be here on this great occasion. As they received their medals, local press and proud parents alike were on hand to capture the moment. Speaking on the night was manager Stephen Darby and Club chairman Seamus Maguire but expressing their delight on the win a few weeks back with Stephen Darby adding his thanks to the Senior footballers for presenting the medals and the massive support given by the club every year. At the end of the presentation the boys received some treats before heading home to the warmth. 

A big thank you has to be expressed to Stephen Darby, Paddy Guilfoyle and David Brady for the massive work done getting the teams prepared. 

On the night, a big thank you to all that helped out in anyway Minor Board secretary Tracey Murphy, Minor board Chairman Cathal Smyth, Club Chairman, Seamus Maguire, PRO Robert Kellaghan and the local media for sending out a photographer. 

Offaly Senior Football Selector 

Massive congratulations to former Rhode stalwart and manager Pat Dingle Daly on his appointment as a selector to the Offaly Senior Football Team. 

Lotto 

There was no winner of the Rhode GAA Lotto Draw that took place on November 14 for a Jackpot of €15,000. The numbers drawn were 2, 7, 8, 21.  The club would like to thank all those who supported the draw and thanks to O’Toole’s for the use of their premises and for their help and cooperation.  The following matched three numbers and received €100 each: Terance O’Brien, Declan Nolan

The Rhode GAA Lotto is the main source of income the club has and now you can play online though our website. The good news is when you play the lotto online you are entitled to free draws, for example pay for seven draws receive the eighth one free, pay for fourteen draws receive two free and so on.  In other words, the more you play the more free draws you are entitled to!

Speedy Recovery 

Best-wishes and a speedy recovery are sent to Sean Malone who last week underwent a hip-replacement. Also speedy recovery to Patsy McGovern who is recovering in hospital after an heart operation two weeks ago.
