GROUP 2 - KINNITTY

Manager – Michael Bergin;

Coach – Dave Lawlor; Strength and conditioning – Andrew Tooher;

Selectors - Liam Bergin, Michael Molloy and Dave Lawlor;

Captain – Not picked yet;

Retirements/absentees from last year – Paddy Delaney is away in Australia;

New players – None;

Star player – Shane Kinsella;

Key players – James Dempsey, Danny Flanagan;

Last year – Bowed out in the group stages;

Prospects – Kinnitty did really well last year, beating Belmont and drawing with Shinrone. They were not far off making the quarter-finals and their performances and the character they showed were one of the highlights of the championship. Paddy Delaney was outstanding for Kinnitty last year and his departure to Australia is a huge blow to them. They are in a tough group this year and at the moment, they are ranked fifth of the five teams in it. They are, however, well capable of upsetting these predictions and producing shocks. They will give it everything but they are outside the list of contenders and staying up is the target.
