Eoin Sawyer: Eoin Sawyer was a surprise introduction in the 63^rd minute and by that stage, the game was slipping away from Offaly with very little ball getting into the full forward line. Sawyer, a Dublin man with a Clara forward, was just back from injury and was hungry for the ball but struggled to get away from his man when he did get on it. Rating – 6.

David Dempsey: David Dempsey made his return to action after along injury lay off in the 64^th minute and was solid as he made his physical presence count and found his man with the ball. Rating – 7.
