Two charities to benefit from Santa Dash event in Offaly

CONGRATULATIONS to Lough Boora Running Group/Ferbane Athletic group for a great day last Sunday at the annual 5k Santa Dash plus 1k family walk held in Lough Boora Discovery Park.

The proceeds from the event this year will go to Offaly Hospice and Sumiahneas AS Class, St. Brendan's CS Birr.
They would like to thank all who supported the event, at which Rock on Paddy entertained and Santa arriving on his sleigh meeting the children with the atmosphere on a high. Big thanks to Will Faulkner of Midlands 103, sponsor Greencoat Renewables, from Ferbane - Total Healthcare, Spar & Centra Supermarkets. Supervalu Banagher, Doolan's, Kilcormac, Supervalu Birr, Tullamore veterinary, Gael Pack, Derrinlough windfarm, and chip timing company My Run Results and all who donated on line.

A big thanks to all the stewards, registration crew, catering crew, Teach Lea and all who gave spot prizes.
