Tullamore-based online ticketing software provider Future Ticketing teams up with Athlone Town once again

OFFALY company Future Ticketing has renewed its partnership with Athlone Town AFC.

The Tullamore-based digital ticketing company said the extension of its successful relationship with the club comes as Athlone Town AFC consolidates its position in League of Ireland men’s and women’s football.

Future Ticketing says it's the leading digital ticketing provider for football clubs in Ireland and is delighted Athlone Town AFC is part of its impressive portfolio.

Gregory Walker, client success manager, Future Ticketing, said: “Athlone Town, with its commitment to football for all and placing itself at the heart of the local community, perfectly matches the values we hold dear in Future Ticketing.

“Last season Athlone Town’s women’s team lifted the league and cup double and embarked on a European campaign where Future Ticketing’s technology seamlessly facilitated a seating plan for the sold-out home match against Cardiff City.

“Better fan engagement, more efficient match day management in Lissywollen, greater ease of season ticket renewals and deeper insights into supporters’ needs are all facilitated by our superior ticketing system.

“Athlone Town is a club whose focus is firmly on the future under CEO Steven Gray and we will accompany the management, staff and players on that upward trajectory.”

Athlone Town strengthened its structures with the appointment of the vastly experienced Lily Agg as women’s first team coach in May.

Sean O’Connor, a man with a distinguished playing and coaching career, has taken over as Athlone Town AFC men’s first team coach, another demonstration of the club’s intent.

Mr Walker added: “All of these developments have come under the stewardship of CEO Steven Gray and his arrival - on the back of an illustrious playing career with Bohemians, Drogheda United and Derry City - underlines the club’s ambition.”

Future Ticketing said Steven Gray has a laser focus on positive engagement with the regional community so they can support the club across multiple channels.

Mr Gray said: “We have seen improved results on the pitch and the return of silverware to Athlone Town AFC. But equally important is forging stronger links with the community and this goal has found practical expression in the hosting of summer and Halloween football camps for the local youth, events which can be booked on the Future Ticketing platform.

“Allied with cultivating an enhanced match day experience for our fans, and leveraging our hospitality assets - where the Future Ticketing platform again plays a critical role - we see this partnership as a key pillar in Athlone Town AFC’s ongoing development.”

Established by Liam Holton and Mark Cotter in 2015, Future Ticketing is a global provider of cloud ticketing and sales enabling software.

The company says its digital solutions are cost-competitive and have been adopted across multiple leisure sectors including Gaelic games, horse racing, football, rugby, cricket and other sports, major outdoor shows and tourist attractions. The leading ticketing provider for SSE Airtricity League clubs, it has a growing portfolio of clubs across the UK.

Future Ticketing's sister company Willwego.com serves the live entertainment market.

Headquartered in Tullamore, Future Ticketing says its continued focus on product development and innovation places it at the forefront of Ireland's rapidly developing tech sector.

Future Ticketing's software is used at two of the biggest outdoor events on the Midlands calendar this year, the Tullamore Show and the National Ploughing Championships.

The platform enables clubs and organisations to sell their tickets directly through their own websites.
