Tullamore Amateur Dramatic Society honours Marina Carr at Esker Sessions
TULLAMORE Amateur Dramatic Society were afforded an opportunity to make a presentation to Marina Carr last Thursday night at the Esker Sessions, Volume III, for her significant contribution to the Irish theatre scene, both nationally and internationally.
Fionnuala Corrigan, committee member, and also the director of a TADS' recent production of the Marina Carr play, 'Portia Coughlan', spoke highly of Marina in her speech. Laura Molloy presented Marina Carr with a bog oak curlew after a passionate speech by Fionnuala.
Speaking to T.A.D.S. on the night, Ciara Kinnarney, P.R.O. let us know about an 'open stage' night that is coming up soon.
"Full details will be released over the next few days, but keep Thursday, April 17, free in your diaries," Ciara stated.
"This will be an opportunity for actors to showcase a favourite scene, and for audiences to enjoy a selection of theatre in bite sized performances".
