Offaly singer Simon Casey releases stunning new song with Grammy winner

Offaly singer Simon Casey has released a new song with Grammy winner Ron Block.

The Ballycumber native's new track has the very Offaly title of 'The Prayers of The Faithful' and is available to listen to and buy on all platforms now. You can hear a preview at the bottom of this article.

Former RTE You're A Star contestant and popular wedding singer Simon announced the collaboration this week.

He said on Monday: "I’m very excited as I celebrate my birthday tomorrow to release an original tune tonight. This song was written for me by my great friend Noel O’Farrell. Noel wrote one of my most popular tunes to date ‘The Third Dance from the End’ a few years back.

"We’re back with a real beauty this time, a song called ‘The Prayers of the Faithful’. To make it even more special it features one the greatest talents to pick a stringed instrument, the mighty Ron Block of Alison Krauss and Union Station.

"I thank each and everyone for the continued support as I head into another great year."
