The cast of Ballyskenach Drama Group's forthcoming play 'Second Confessions'.
BALLYSKENACH Drama Group embark on their 15th production in the Citeuax Hall, Ballyskenach from the Thursday February 15th to Saturday February 17th 2024 at 8.15pm each evening.
Over the years the Drama Group have entertained audiences who travelled great distances to come to the Citeaux Hall, having staged plays such as The Field, Sive & Big Maggie.
The group's first production started with “The Man from Clare” back in 2008. They are delighted this year to stage “Second Confession” by Paddy Heffernan. The comedy plot is spread out over three acts which examines the consequences of a plan put in place seventy years previously by a man trying to provide for his family’s future!
The plot revolves around the McCarthy family and their relationships, past and present, with the family circle and other characters. There are plenty of twists and turns throughout the play.
The cast of Ballyskenach Drama Group are fortunate to have strong local actors who have been involved in many productions in the Citeuax Hall over the years. The cast once again includes Paddy Delaney as Miles O`Sullivan, Gerry McAuliffe as Christy McCarthy, Fergal Keeshan as Garda Donal Fitzgibbon, Betty Murphy as Honey (Peggy) Keating, Sally Carney as Nora Tierney, Jim Bolger as Fr John Foley, Kevin Tuohy as Dr Phillip Jordan, John Doherty as Boxer Kennedy, Mairead King as Eileen O'Rourke and Orlaith Middleton as Julia McCathy.
Jimmy Middleton produced this production, assisted by Kathleen Fitzgerald. Continuity is provided by Colm Lalor. Francis Fitzgerald constructed the stage and the Master of ceremonies on each evening is Michael Hannon.
Come and join Ballyskenach Drama Group for a great night's entertainment and full of laughs. They look forward to welcoming the usual crowds to the Citeaux Hall for the three performances.
