OFFALY bluegrass band JigJam has released their long-awaited single “Shake These Dreams Awake” out now. Fans have eagerly awaited the single since the band previewed it live on tour, prompting an enthusiastic response.
Written by Bob Halligan Jr. and JigJam’s Jamie McKeogh and Daithi Melia, “Shake These Dreams Awake” captures the lingering pull of a past relationship and the desire to give it another try.
“We’ve been playing this song live for a bit now, and there is always such a strong crowd reaction, so we’re glad to finally put this one out there as a single,” said frontman Jamie McKeogh.
The single follows a busy North American summer tour with performances at top-tier festivals and venues like Blissfest, Delfest and more. Most recently, McKeogh joined GRAMMY Award-winner Sierra Ferrell to perform "Somebody Loves You Darling" during her Lollapalooza aftershow at Metro Chicago. The set also featured a surprise appearance by Academy Award-nominated actor John C. Reilly.
“Shake These Dreams Awake” is a preview of the band’s forthcoming studio album, following the recent release of “Running Back To You” featuring Lindsay Lou. The band is currently recording at Zac Brown’s Southern Ground Studio in Nashville, an invitation extended personally by Brown after meeting the band at a festival last year. The historic studio has hosted legendary artists including Kris Kristofferson, Larry Gatlin, Kacey Musgraves, Dwight Yoakam, and The Foo Fighters.
