Met Éireann has issued a series of Weather Warnings with Storm Floris set to hit Ireland this weekend. Storm Floris was named on Friday by the UK Met Office.
As of Saturday afternoon, Met Eireann has issued three warnings which warn of very strong and blustery southwest winds veering westerly, with some damaging gusts. You can track the path of Storm Floris by pressing play above.
A Status Yellow Wind warning for Clare, Galway, Mayo and Sligo comes into effect at 2am on Monday and remains in place until 1pm on Monday.
A Status Yellow Wind Warning for Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan and Leitrim comes into effect at 4am and remains in place until 4pm.
Met Eireann is warning of dangerous travelling conditions, Outdoor events may be impacted, structural damage, fallen trees, debris and loose objects, power outages and wave overtopping
A Status Yellow Rain warning for Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo comes into effect at 2am on Monday and remains in place until 10am. It warns of difficult travelling conditions, lightning damage and localised flooding.
