Clara man takes over as Offaly GAA secretary with vacancy for communications officer to be filled

Other officers re-elected unopposed
THE big change in the Management Committee of Offaly GAA at Convention on Wednesday evening was the election of a new secretary.
Clara man Padraig O'Meara was elected unanimously, replacing Shamrocks' Brendan Minnock who opted out after one year in the role.
O'Meara has been a very effective Communications Officer for the past four years and his promotion has created a vacancy for that position – clubs have an opportunity to nominate and it is hoped to fill this at the first County Board meeting in January.
The other officers were all re-elected unopposed with Coolderry's Tom Parlon and Doon's Frank Fitzpatrick back for a second year as chairman and treasurer.
