Met Eireann is forecast hot and humid weather for Ireland this week but with a risk of thunderstorms at times.

According to Met Eireann, the weather will be warm and humid by day and night. There will be lots of dry weather though showers are expected each day, heavy at times with thunderstorms.

Temperatures are set to reach 25 degrees at times in places throughout the week.

Residual rain in the north will gradually clear by early afternoon, and a few showers may develop later in the day, some of which could turn heavy or possibly thundery.
