Two men at sulky race in Offaly fined at Tullamore District Court

A man who attended a sulky race during Covid restrictions was fined €150 by Judge Alec Gabbett at Tullamore District Court last week.

Garda Michael Hennessy said John Christopher O’Brien (38) 17, Powers Court, Mallow, Cork, said he was up looking at a horse at the Horse and Jockey when asked why he was there.

There was a large gathering of people at the race at Frankfort, Dunkerrin on March 14, 2021.

Also present was Michael Francis O’Brien (19) Ballydahene, Doneraile, Cork. He too was fined €150
