Two coaches with Laois Senior Hurling team handed suspensions by GAA

Two coaches with the Laois Senior Hurling team have been handed suspensions by the GAA.
Dan Shanahan and Eamon Jackman were found to have breached Riail 7.2 (c), Category II (a), T.O. 2023, that is to say, “abusive language towards a referee”.
The incident was believed to have occurred in Laois' Joe McDonagh Cup game against Carlow on April 22, a game in which Laois had led by seven points with Carlow awarded a late dubious penalty to level the game. Both coaches weren't present on the sideline for Laois' victory against Kildare last weekend.
The Central Hearings Committee imposed the following penalty:
The pair were both handed a four weeks’ suspension together with a one match suspension in the same code and at the same level, applicable to the next game in the combination of National League/Inter-County Senior Championship, even if that game occurs in the following year.
Laois are set to face Kerry in Austin Stacks Park on Saturday May 13 at 5.30pm in a winner takes all game to see who gets to the Joe McDonagh final, providing Carlow don't defeat Offaly.
