Drugs prosecution came before Tullamore District Court
GARDAI are alleging that €60 worth of cannabis was found on a woman in a Clara churchyard and a further amount valued at €340 was located at a house in Daingean.
Sylvia Mulhall (36), The Foot Barrack, Main Street, Daingean, is facing charges alleging possession of the drug at the church, The Square, Clara, on February 2 last year, and at her address in Daingean the following day, February 3.
When the case came before Tullamore District Court last week, Sergeant James O'Sullivan said a certificate in relation to the matter had been received by the gardai from the forensic science laboratory.
Ms Mulhall was represented in court by Patrick Martin, solicitor. Legal aid was granted to Ms Mulhall last year.
Judge Cephas Power accepted jurisdiction and adjourned the prosecution to April 20 next.
