Runners brave rough weather at Offaly parkrun

EVELYN

Evelyn Lambe and her family

A TOTAL of 55 participants braved the strong winds and potentially wet morning for Parkrun number 156 at Mountlucas last Saturday.

Thankfully the rain held off, the winds calmed and the sun even peeped out for a few minutes

Michael Kearney celebrated his 50th parkrun.

What makes this even more impressive is that Michael only started his parkrun journey at the Mountlucas 100th  parkrun, which means that he has completed 50 of the last 56 parkruns at Mountlucas. In case one thinks that he stayed in bed for the other 6, this is not the case but instead he volunteered on those mornings.

Well done Michael, a true supporter of Mountlucas parkrun

On the previous Saturday, Evelyn Lambe achieved her 100th  parkrun

Mountlucas Parkrun is based at Mountlucas Wind farm outside Daingean, so why not turn up at 9.30 am on Saturday morning to see what it is all about. See  www.parkrun.ie/mountlucas to register and for more details.
