A significant change for motorists

A significant traffic change is now in effect in Tullamore as a new one-way system has been introduced for access to O'Connor Square.

Drivers can no longer enter the square from Bridge Street or High Street. The only permitted entry is via Tanyard Lane.

Motorists heading north down High Street can now reach Tanyard Lane through the newly completed route via Roselawn.

Construction work on the Tanyard is finished, and vehicles can now move smoothly through to O'Connor Square.

Traffic exiting the square will continue to do so onto Bridge Street or High Street.

A number of signs are in place advising people of the change and the new route into the square.
