Offaly parkrun regular celebrates 200th event over festive season

MOUNTLUCAS parkrun continues to host its weekly event over the Christmas and New Year period.

A special New Year's Day parkrun will be held at Mountlucas windfarm on Wednesday, 1 January, starting at 9.30am sharp.

Regulars and first timers are welcomed to mark the arrival of the new year together at this celebratory event.

Santa recently attended Mountlucas parkrun and gave a selection box to every participant, kindly sponsored by Bord na Móna.

Another celebration at Mountlucas parkrun over the Christmas period was undertaken when Mountlucas parkrun regular, Mary Dunne, completed her 200th parkrun.

Mary has been taking part in parkrun since 2018 and is a core member of the volunteer team, having volunteered at the event almost 100 times.

A huge well done to Mary from the Mountlucas parkrun volunteer team. If you would like to volunteer at Mountlucas parkrun please email mountlucas@parkrun.com
