Santa was also in attendance, and he had selection boxes for all participants (supplied by Mountlucas parkrun sponsors Bord na Móna), adding to the festive atmosphere of the morning.

Not to be overshadowed by Santa, Alan Reid completed his 50th Parkrun on the morning and he received a big welcome as he crossed the finish line.

Sarah Flanagan, who paid her first visit to Mountlucas parkrun, came in first with an impressive time of 18:58 minutes, just 3 seconds off the female course record of 18:55.
