9: Midfield – David Nally (Belmont)David Nally has to be on this team and we are slotting him in at midfield as he covered a lot of ground in the whole middle third and was instrumental in Belmont making the semi-final. He worked hard and almost always did the right thing on the ball as well as getting a lot of scores from play and frees. He had an excellent campaign – Birr's Joe Ryan and Tullamore's Cormac Egan were serious contenders and either could make it but it would be wrong to have this team without David Nally.

10: Right half forward – Daniel Hand (Kilcormac-Killoughey)Daniel Hand came of age in 2025 as he moved from a more peripheral role into a central one for Kilcormac-Killoughey. His work rate was high and he oozed quality on the ball. His shooting also improved and most importantly, he developed the confidence to take his own shots on rather than looking for a colleague most of the time. Hand's performances are likely to have come to the notice of Offaly senior hurling manager Johnny Kelly, he did a lot of unseen work and gets in just ahead of his first cousin Jack Screeney, who was also exceptional and was very close to making this team.

11: Centre half forward – DJ McLoughlin (Shinrone)DJ McLoughlin had another very good season for Shinrone. He used his physicality well, got a lot of scores and was the main man in an attack that had a lot of players who played well on different days. Despite Ballinamere's disappointing year, there was a strong case for selecting Dan Bourke as he once again oozed quality – Bourke is one of the most gifted and exciting players to watch in Offaly.

12: Left half forward – Charlie Mitchell (Kilcormac-Killoughey)In America for their first round draw with Belmont, Charlie Mitchell had another sensational season for Kilcormac-Killoughey. One of the most exciting forwards in the country, his speed and accuracy terrified opposing defences. He got better and better as the season went on and is an automatic selection.
