Birr and St Rynagh's will meet in Offaly Senior Hurling Final

For the first time since 2001, Birr and St Rynagh's will meet in the Offaly Senior Hurling Final after both came through their respective semi-finals on Sunday in O'Connor Park.

Birr led virtually from start to finish as they saw off Kinnitty by 1-19 to 0-16 whereas St Rynagh's staged an amazing comeback to overturn a five point deficit against Kilcormac/Killoughey with 12 minutes to go to record a two point win by 1-11 to 0-12.

For St Rynagh's it will be their fourth final in five years however they have not won the Sean Robbins Cup since 1993.

Birr's last county final success came in 2008 and they have lost their two subsequent final appearances in 2011 and 2014
