Billy Corrigan at the Scottish Senior Track & Field championships.
Congratulations to the members of Team B, captained by Hilary Duncan who are the winners of the 2025 Club League. At the beginning of the year, all club athletes were divided into four teams, adding camaraderie and friendly rivalry to the league. Throughout the year they competed in a total of 9 races with a mix of different distances. The league included the club’s most cherished races: the McNamara 5, the Gowran 8, the Neville 10, the Peter English, and the Paddy Larkin 3K.
The full list of races was:
McNamara 5 Mile
Club 3K
Club 3K
Peter English 625m
Gowran 8 Mile
Neville 10 Mile
Club 5K
Paddy Larkin 3K
Burlington 2 Mile
Well done to the other captains: Jason McDermott (2nd place) Alan Mitchell (3rd place), and Olive Mannion (4th place), who rallied their teammates and encouraged them at every race.
Sincere thanks to Anna Hyland (Competition Secretary), Joe Wrafter (Club Handicapper), and Liam Hennessy, who organised the races and compiled the results.
