Tullamore Tag Rugby Keg Competition

Teams had great fun at annual competition in memory of late Ronnie Walsh

Tullamore Tag Rugby Keg Competition

The Gaggin For a Taggin team

On Saturday afternoon Tullamore Rugby Club hosted the 13th instalment of the Ronnie Walsh (Keg) Memorial Tag Rugby Competition.
The weather couldn’t have been better for the 11 teams that turned out to compete for the Keg Cup.
It was wonderful to have Ronnie's sisters Verona & Marguerite, and his brother Eddie present to present the trophies and say a few words about the man himself.
On the pitch there was some great entertainment. The weather took its toll on the teams, who all played 4 group games and then a final.
Congratulations to Keepa Akinfenwa (Handoffs Unlimited) for taking the Male Player of the tournament & to Vicky Carey (Cronins Barbarians) for picking up the Female Player of the tournament award.
