Offaly woman achieves 250 parkrun milestone at popular venue

Evelyn Lambe completed 250 parkruns at Mountlucas windfarm venue while John Gorman, Ella Monahan and Colm Ó Laoire all completed their 25th parkruns
It was a beautiful, dry morning at this weekend's Mountlucas parkrun. There were several milestones achieved on the day.
John Gorman, Ella Monahan and Colm Ó Laoire all completed their 25th parkrun.
The biggest milestone celebrated on the day was Evelyn Lambe's 250th parkrun.
Speaking to Evelyn after the event she said: "I'm absolutelt delighted to have reached my 250th parkrun. My first parkrun was in 2017. I really enjoy seeing the friendly faces and hearing the words of encouragement on Saturday mornings in Mountlucas. I would encourage anyone to join parkrun. It is so beneficial to both physical and mental health."
This parkrun marked the start of parkrun Ireland's "Step into Winter" campaign. The campaign aims to inspire people across Ireland to wrap up, head outdoors, and embrace physical activity and community throughout the Winter season.
All participants received a free headband provided by parkrun, and they enjoyed getting photos taken in the special "Step into Winter" selfie frame.
Mountlucas parkrun takes place at BnM Mountlucas windfarm every Saturday morning at 9.30am sharp.
There's something for everyone at Mountlucas parkrun whether you want to walk, run, volunteer or just meet new people.
