RTE Late Late Toy Show fans don't have long to wait to watch Patrick Kielty's first festive special at the helm of the long-running chat show.

Details are being kept under wraps but social media star James Doyle managed to get a sneak peek behind the scenes at RTE during the week.

The RTE Late Late Show social media channels shared a clip of James reliving his childhood in Donnybrook as he road-tested some of the ride-ons that may be featured on this year's show.

The clip has been viewed thousands of times and viewers try to piece together clues or what or who might appear on the Toy Show on November 24.

The post was captioned: "Dreams do come true #ToyTesterForADay

The theme of this year's Toy Show has not yet been revealed, nor have any of the special guests.

One performer was confirmed on the Late Late Show a few weeks ago when nine-year-old Bonnie O'Meara from Beaumont, Co Dublin was informed live on air that she would be on the show.

The youngster jumped around her living room surrounded by her family and said she was excited to be on the Toy Show.

In a post, the RTE Late Late Show said the "countdown is well and truly on" but beyond Bonnie's performance, the details of the show remain a big secret.

Viewers will have to tune in on Friday, November 24, to see the rest of the performers, toy testers and specials guests.
