The fire is the hearth of the home - but poses serious risks and during Halloween the dangers of fire are greatly heightened - a perfect time to speak with the Firemen from your local Fire Station about the safety of you and your family.
On Thursday and Friday of last week members of the crew from Roscrea Fire Station spoke with the public about fire safety in the home at a stall in Bernie's SuperValu on Main Street in Roscrea as part of national Fire Safety Week.
The crew advised local people on how to be vigilant in the home regarding fire safety as part of a campaign by Tipperary's Fire and Rescue Service.

They also plan to hold an event in Templemore Fire Station on Saturday and Sunday, November 1st and 2nd, inviting anyone interested in learning about the Fire Service and potential careers to come and speak with active members.
The event runs from 10am to 4pm on both days and open to anyone interested in joining.
