Roscrea Lions Club host SAFETALK Workshop

Roscrea Lions Club, in association with HSE Mid-West, are holding a SAFETALK workshop on Saturday Nov 15th from 10am to 2pm in the community Hall Rosemary Square.

SAFETALK is an internationally recognised programme that prepares participants to recognise and engage with people who may be having thoughts of suicide and to connect them to suicide first aid resources.

SAFETALK trained helpers can recognise these invitations for help and act by supporting people to connect with life-saving resources supports and services.

They would like to invite any adult that may be interested in attending. The training is suitable for everyone who wants to help prevent suicide and is prepared to become suicide alert.

SAFETALK is not suitable for those who are recently affected or bereaved by suicide.
