There is much Midlands interest in the latest edition of Ireland's Tree Magazine, Crann, says famed Roscrea book collector, author and historian George Cunningham.

There is a special Roscrea interest in the latest edition - as Roscrea poet, Carmel Cunningham has two tree poems from her collection, 'Unfolding Images'.

One of the poems is on that venerable centuries old ash that stood until recently in a field off the main road at Ballinakill; and another, April in Carlingford, which details the unfolding trees.

Also featured is Sacred Heart, Roscrea and Coolderry Central NS and Cloughjordan COI NO 1, who have photographs of various tree plantings during National Biodiversity Week.
