Two Roscrea sport and gym facilities to benefit from funding injection

Two organisations in Roscrea are among the beneficiaries of Tipperary's funding

Roscrea's Swimming Pool and Tennis Club are to benefit from a major boost in funding and are among several to benefit from a funding package of €404,317 in Community Recognition Funding to be distributed across the Premier County.

Eight Community Groups across Tipperary will share €404,317 in funding under the Community Recognition Fund.

This funding acknowledges the efforts of Community Groups in preparing and submitting applications under the Community Recognition Fund.

Through their care and passion for their communities, real change is happening, and community infrastructure is being improved and developed like never before.

The Community Recognition Fund enables communities to be more inclusive and resilient through the provision and enhancement of a range of community facilities and community spaces.

The following is a full list of Tipperary recipients;

Carrick on Suir playground upgrade - €50,000

Clonmel RFC - Replace all-weather pitch surface €50,000

Clonmel Rowing Club - Clubhouse refurbishment €54,317

Dundrum Community Hall yard upgrade €50,000

Knockavilla Donaskeigh Kickhams GAA Club €50,000

Roscrea Swimming pool and gym equipment upgrade €50,000

Roscrea Tennis Club Upgrade of Roscrea tennis club facilities €50,000

Thurles skate park renovation €50,000
