BRERETON'S Bar Annual Tractor Run was held on Sunday June 30th at Brereton's Bar Ballybritt. It was the most successful tractor run they had to date with over 255 vehicles registered.

To say the committee are overwhelmed would be a total understatement. They never predicted in a million years that so many would turn up to their little crossroads at the foot of the Slieve Bloom. Thanks so much to all the volunteers, local landowners, all the staff in Brereton's, their neighbours, sponsors, auctioneer Rock on Paddy, musicians Miriam & Michelle and the Groomsmen, photographers Barry Dwyer and Rose Mannion and you the general public for the outstanding support you showed them on Sunday June 30th.

In the early to mid morning they had a fear of the weather being against them but to be fair it did not stop the entrants from turning up to make it an amazing day. One the people of Ballybritt and surrounding areas will not forget.

This year's main beneficiary is Offaly Down Syndrome. The proceeds will go towards any equipment or help that is needed to help all their friends and families in Offaly Down Syndrome. They had many volunteers from ODS on June 30th helping them.

They are also donating a portion of their proceeds to the We're doing it for Dennedy fund. Young Michael is a credit to his family and they have no doubt he will grow stronger and stronger after his unfortunate accident last year. Michael and a big crew from Kinnitty attended the run on June 30th and helped in any way they could. It was a fantastic day to see the people of Ballybritt and Kinnitty coming together for such a massive occasion.

They are also making a donation to Embrace Farm from this year's run.

They are already planning their 2025 event and can not wait to make it the biggest tractor run in the midlands.

Their presentation night is on Saturday August 17th at 9.30pm in Brereton's Bar Ballybritt with music by Aisling Raferty & Michael Thompson.

Thanks again to everyone who contributed in any way to their fantastic day.
