IN recognition of their exceptional achievement in the Minecraft Individual Category of the LOETB STEAM Showcase, CNC Kilcormac’s Minecraft gurus were formally presented with their winner vouchers by Terence O’Brien of Laois and Offaly Education and Training Board (LOETB) and Ray Bell of Offaly County Council.

The presentation celebrated the students’ creativity, problem-solving skills, and dedication to STEAM learning. Their innovative and engaging Minecraft builds, which impressed judges and attendees alike, earned them top honours in this competitive category. The award not only acknowledges their talent but also highlights the growing role of digital literacy and gaming in education.

The Minecraft Individual Category is just one of many components of the annual STEAM Showcase, which brings together students from across the region to exhibit projects in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The Showcase provides a valuable opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills, engage with peers, and gain recognition for their work.

The success of CNC Kilcormac’s Minecraft team is a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering a vibrant learning environment that embraces emerging technologies and encourages students to think outside the box.
