Drugs prosecution at Tullamore District Court
COCAINE and ketamine were allegedly possessed by a Rhode man for sale or supply to others.
Aaron Kennedy (26), Killowen, Rhode, appeared before Tullamore District Court after being charged with committing the offence at Clonmore, Edenderry on August 23 last year.
Detective Garda Joseph Bradley gave evidence of arresting, charging and cautioning Mr Kennedy and told Judge Andrew Cody that the accused man made no reply when cautioned.
In addition to the charge of having the suspected drugs for sale or supply, Mr Kennedy is also charged with simple possession of the cocaine and ketamine.
Detective Garda Bradley said the approximate total value of the suspected drugs was €4,000.
David Nugent, BL, defence counsel appearing for Mr Kennedy, sought a certificate from Forensic Science Ireland.
Detective Garda Bradley told Mr Nugent the certificate was available.
Judge Cody remanded the accused man on continuing bail to appear in court again on April 9 next when either a plea of guilty will be entered or a date will be fixed for a hearing.
