Election in Offaly: Latest turnout figures show steady pattern of voting

Turnout at 14 per cent in the Ferbane Urban box in Birr Electoral Area

Voting is steady in the local and European elections in Offaly

A picture of turnout figures for voting in the local and European elections in Offaly has begun to emerge.

Turnout stood at 14 per cent in the Ferbane Urban box at 12 noon while Ferbane Rural recorded a figure of 10.1pc.

At 11.45 am turnout was 10.3 per cent in Birr Urban, 8.6pc at Edenderry Boys School and 8.5pc in Edenderry Rural box.

At 9am this morning figures for turnout in those boxes were 2.1pc in Birr Urban, 3.75 pc in Edenderry Boys School and 2.25 pc in Edenderry Rural.

In the Tullamore Electoral Area turnout, at 11.50am, was 11 pc in Arden Urban and 8.9pc in Cappincur.
